    Former California Police Officer Ryan Walterhouse

    An experienced police officer based in Danville, California, Ryan Walterhouse served with the Oakland Police Department in California for nearly four years. His responsibilities in this position involved maintaining safe, public spaces, enforcing city laws, and protecting the lives and property of Oakland citizens. He regularly patrolled the community and resolved problems for citizens, making arrests as needed. Ryan Walterhouse also used his crime- and problem-solving skills while investigating criminal offenses.

     

    He stepped away from his work as an officer in 2016 and later joined a Fremont, California-based security company. As a contractor for the company, he has the opportunity to protect government facilities and personnel and to safeguard sensitive information. His activities in this position range from monitoring a closed-circuit television system to collaborating with law enforcement and federal agents on matters of emergency response.

     

    Ryan Walterhouse holds a criminal justice degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He played baseball as a member of the university’s Division I program. He previously won a state championship while playing for Ohlone College in Fremont, California. He continues to stay active by playing baseball and golf. He also enjoys participating in CrossFit workouts and events.
